Scoping and cleaning fiber optic connections during test and turn-up are skills continually stressed to contractors — and for good reason. Skipping the clean is one of the most common and costly mistakes in fiber installations, leading to repeated customer visits, signal degradation, and lost time that adds up fast across a deployment.

Dirty connectors are the number one cause of fiber optic network failures.
