Why it’s special
Operators have asked us—and the industry—to help provide the equipment that will speed up time to deliver fiber services. We’ve listened and are thrilled that Clearfield is delivering with a universal panel that—combined with Clearfield’s cassette technology—helps take networks further.
What it is
The FieldSmart FxMP Panel is a high-density, low-maintenance fiber distribution panel for use in a data style rack or cabinet, a 19" or a 23" frame. Utilizing the Clearview® Cassette, FieldSmart FxMP Panels are intelligently designed to provide the user with superior fiber access and craft-friendly, radius protected, fiber management for routing and deploying fiber jumpers. It provides an inter-connect or cross-connect environment for up to 288 ports of high-density fiber. And it’s fully compliant for Inside Plant (ISP) environments.
How it’s simpler
After hearing customer feedback, we designed the FieldSmart FxMP Panel to simplify, streamline and reduce the operational costs of deploying fiber. Our panel delivers a universal deployment option, which makes it easier to order, train field staff and support the rapidly growing market for fiber services. This universal panel enables fiber deployments of RU (24 ports) up to 11" (288 ports), providing the system base for both current and future needs, which means:
- Universally deployable. The versatile FxMP Panel can be deployed in a wide variety of applications and locations. You choose from a wide range of options, including 19" or 23" frames, data racks or cabinets.
- Simplified product ordering. The industry uses multiple panels for different locations/venues (central office, data center, colocation space, communication closet and active cabinets). But…our FieldSmart FxMP Panel uniquely uses the same cassette in every application combined with the FxMP universal panel…for a single SKU. That’s it. Simple.
- Shorter training period. Because our Clearview Cassette—the central building block of every element of the FieldSmart product portfolio—is used, no extra training is needed. The front cover of the panel is easily removable and installation of cassettes is simple, with no tools needed. This uncomplicated process saves time, money and patience.
What else
Our FieldSmart FxMP Panel is RUS listed and designed to comply with Telcordia GR-63, GR-1089, GR-449, GR-20 and GR-409. Optical component configurations use Telcordia GR 1221/1209 compliant devices, plus terminations are designed and tested to Telcordia GR-326. And to continue keeping it simple, the panel supports all industry-standard singlemode and multimode connectors.
