Fiber Optic Cabinets, Cables, Pedestals and Terminals
football

I am enjoying the NFL Playoffs – even if I don’t like who is advancing and will ultimately face off in the infamous Super Bowl.

You may not have thought about it, but football is driving the adoption of optical fiber.

Whenever a mass of humanity gather in a small place – like the Minnesota Vikings new stadium – tens of thousands of people are looking to stay connected and share their experiences with others. Fulfilling that need for mobile connection on this scale is made possible by DAS (distributed antenna system) networks.

We’re pleased to be working with our wireless carriers to bring this level of mobility connectivity to the masses. DAS networks require extensive expertise in optical fiber management. The new US Bank Stadium here in Minneapolis is just one example. The new Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta is another.

While each of these projects is a single example, they demonstrate the flexibility of the Clearfield architecture to be used anywhere optical fiber needs to be distributed, protected and managed. What’s more, it demonstrates that optical fiber isn’t just about fiber to the residence or business. It’s about ensuring productivity and connectedness wherever and whenever we want.

When you are rooting for the Vikings – there’s always next year. But when it comes to increasing fiber in your broadband diet, there’s no better time than the present.
