Product Details
Clearfield’s FiberFirst product line provides physical fiber protection for delivering a turn-key passive solution from the central office/headend to the final termination. The FiberFirst 10-Inch Pedestals provide an efficiently sized, cost-effective, non-metallic enclosure - meeting the industry standards for strength, reliability and environmental concerns.
These pedestals consists of a two-part split base and removable cover measuring 10” inside diameters respectively. Standing 30 inches in height, the pedestals are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, as well as UV, chemical and impact resistance. The pedestals include a built in, multi-use rail system for universally mounting products inside the pedestal. Intuitive dome securing feature along with an industry standard telco security screw (216) is used to attach and lock the cover to the base.
The FiberFirst 10-Inch Pedestals are designed to provide a small, aesthetically pleasing footprint, while providing maximum flexibility.

Empty Ped Option
The empty ped option is ideal for housing various types of fiber terminations. The pre-installed pedestal frame and ground bar make this a great option for rapid field installations close to the home.
Universal Backplane Option
The universal mounting backplane is a cost-effective way to deploy virtually any appropriately sized connectivity equipment. The universal backplane can be ordered separately and is easily installed in the field. Clearfield’s Ready Connect Terminal easily mounts directly to the universal backplane.
Splice Tray Option
The CraftSmart FiberFirst Pedestal Splice Tray options incorporate field–tested slack management for incoming and outgoing fiber cables and includes craft friendly CSC Splice Trays or the universal splice trays. CSC 500 Splice trays support up to 48 single splices or 144 mass fusion splices per tray. In the 10” FiberFirst Pedestal, up to 6 CSC Splice Trays are supported.
