After meeting with a friend, he gave me a ride in his brand-new 2014 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT. I had read in some auto magazines that of the three new pony cars that Ford, Chevy and Dodge have recently released, the Ford Mustang was the lightest and quickest. After my ride with Jason, that was confirmed.

Last fall, I bought a 2014 Dodge Challenger RT which matches MY profile: big, heavy and slow. Don’t get me wrong, with 375 hp my Mopar-pony car will get out and go. But that Mustang hopped. I could not believe how quick that car was and it is completely stock.

This spring when the weather warms up, I’m planning on putting in a high performance exhaust system, cold air intake and software tune to squeeze a few more ponies out of my Challenger. But short of putting in a supercharger, that little Mustang 5.0 is still going to be quicker.

It kind of reminds me of Clearfield; we are also small, light and quick. Unlike some of our competition, where even a supercharger won’t help them. 
